Maccabi Tel Aviv's Saeed Abu Farhi Transfers to Colorado Rapids for $6 Million

Maccabi Tel Aviv's 20-year-old striker Saeed Abu Farhi is set to join the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer in a deal worth $6 million, one of the most expensive transfers in Israeli football history. Abu Farhi will play his farewell match for Maccabi Tel Aviv against CSKA Sofia on Thursday at 21:00. This transfer ranks among the highest fees received directly from the Israeli Premier League, surpassed only by players like Wesley Patatchi, Eran Zahavi, Oscar Gloukh, Anan Khalaily, and Manor Solomon.

In the previous season, Abu Farhi made 31 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. He started the current season strongly, scoring braces in victories during the Israeli Super Cup against Hapoel Be'er Sheva and in the first qualifying round of the Europa League against Sheriff Tiraspol.
