Israel Faces Continued Extreme Heat With Red Alerts Issued for Several Regions

Despite a slight drop in temperatures, Israel continues to experience heavy to extreme heat across most areas. The Meteorological Service issued a red alert for intense heat starting at 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM today, affecting regions including the Beit She'an Valley, Sea of Galilee Basin, Jordan Valley, southern Judean Desert, Dead Sea, and the Arava.

Today will be mostly clear with a mild temperature decrease, especially in the mountains and inland areas, though it will remain hotter than usual and dry there. The coastal plain will experience cooler weather. The heavy heat burden is expected to persist throughout most of the country.

Tomorrow, temperatures will drop slightly more, with partly cloudy skies and continued heat above seasonal norms in the mountains and inland, while the coast remains mild. The extreme heat conditions will still prevail in most regions.

By Friday, a further temperature decline will bring conditions back to seasonal averages, easing the heat stress. There is also a possibility of light drizzle or localized rain in northern and central Israel. The ongoing heatwave highlights the need for caution in the affected areas.
