Man Arrested for Credit Card Fraud Involving Luxury Goods and Electronics in Tel Aviv
A 26-year-old man from northern Israel, currently residing in Tel Aviv, was arrested on suspicion of conducting extensive credit card fraud involving hundreds of thousands of shekels. According to police, he used stolen credit card details to purchase products from multiple retailers, including Machsaney Hashmal, A.L.M, Dream Shoes, and Opticana. The suspect allegedly sold these items for cash and used the proceeds to buy luxury brand goods for himself.
The investigation, carried out covertly over recent months by the Tel Aviv North police station, began after authorities received information about high-value purchases made using a similar modus operandi with stolen credit card data. Police estimate the total fraud amount could reach approximately half a million shekels.
