Ex-Girlfriend of Israeli Singer Ofek Adenek Speaks Out After His Arrest in Domestic Dispute

Israeli singer Ofek Adenek was arrested over the weekend following a violent altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Hadas Masuri. The incident occurred after Masuri visited Adenek's apartment to inform him she wanted to end their relationship, which had lasted over a year. The confrontation escalated in the parking lot, resulting in Adenek breaking Masuri's car window and his subsequent arrest.

Masuri addressed the public for the first time since the event in a personal Instagram post, describing the past days as extremely difficult and stating she is still trying to process and regain her sense of security. She denied the falsehoods and distortions being spread about her and expressed trust in the ongoing police investigation and prosecution. Masuri also offered advice to women experiencing fear in relationships, encouraging them to listen to their instincts and prioritize their safety.

During a court hearing on extending Adenek's detention, it was revealed that he did not deny breaking Masuri's car window, claiming it happened after she injured his leg while driving. Masuri denied running him over. The Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion found reasonable suspicion against Adenek but declined the police request to extend his detention by five days, citing the incident's relatively low level of danger. Adenek was released under conditions including a 40-day restraining order preventing contact with Masuri and others involved, and a minimum two-kilometer distance from her.

The case remains under investigation, with both parties presenting differing accounts of the events. Meanwhile, a southern Israeli municipality canceled Adenek's scheduled performance following the incident.
