Dimona Municipality Cancels Ofek Adanek's Concert Amid Domestic Violence Allegations

Israeli singer Ofek Adanek was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of violently assaulting his partner, social media star Hadas Masuri. He was released on Sunday under restrictive conditions, including a 40-day ban on contacting Masuri or others involved in the incident. Following his arrest, the Dimona municipality canceled his scheduled concert pending court proceedings. This is the second cancellation after he had to cancel another performance on Saturday due to his detention.

Adanek, 24, addressed the public on Instagram, denying any violence and describing the incident as a painful breakup during which he was injured. He emphasized his respect for women and stated that the court reviewed all details before ordering his release. Adanek expressed gratitude to his supporters and reaffirmed his commitment to music.

Adanek first gained attention in 2017 with his song "Boi Buba" and participated in the sixth season of "The Next Star for Eurovision" at age 16, where he clashed with judge Asaf Amdursky and did not advance past auditions. In recent years, he has become popular among youth on social media and radio, notably with the hit "Eich Shehi Rokedet" featuring Eden Hason and Agam Buhbut. Adanek and Masuri began dating over a year ago and moved in together about four months ago.
