Nigerian Striker William Agada Returns to Hapoel Haifa with €200,000 Salary

Nigerian forward William Agada has signed a contract to rejoin Hapoel Haifa, marking his second stint with the club. The 26-year-old arrives from Spanish side Real Zaragoza and will earn approximately 200,000 euros per season. Agada previously played for Hapoel Haifa during the 2020/21 season, scoring eight league goals in 31 appearances.

Hapoel Haifa owner Yoav Katz expressed enthusiasm about the signing, describing Agada as "fast, quality, and experienced," and confident he will significantly contribute to the team’s objectives. Agada began his career in the youth system of Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2017. He returned to Katamon in 2018 and later joined Hapoel Haifa on loan in 2020.

In 2022, Agada transferred to Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer, where he made 64 appearances and scored 24 goals over three seasons. He also played for Real Salt Lake before moving to Real Zaragoza, where he featured in only three matches in the past six months.

With Agada’s signing, Hapoel Haifa coach Haim Silvas now aims to complete the squad by adding a foreign winger and a backup left-back. The club is preparing for its upcoming Toto Cup ranking match against reigning champions Hapoel Be’er Sheva, competing for fifth place in the tournament.
