Nigerian Striker William Agada Returns to Hapoel Haifa with €200,000 Salary

William Agada, the 26-year-old Nigerian striker, has signed a contract to rejoin Hapoel Haifa, marking his second stint with the club. Agada arrives from Spanish side Real Zaragoza and will earn approximately 200,000 euros per season. Hapoel Haifa owner Yoav Katz expressed enthusiasm about the signing, describing Agada as a fast, quality, and experienced forward who is expected to significantly contribute to the team's goals.

Agada began his career in the youth ranks of Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv in December 2017. He returned to Katamon in 2018, advancing to their senior team in the National League. In the summer of 2020, he was loaned to Hapoel Haifa, scoring eight league goals in 31 appearances. In 2022, he transferred to Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer, where he played 64 matches and scored 24 goals over three seasons. He also had a stint with Real Salt Lake and recently played three games for Real Zaragoza.

With Agada's signing, Hapoel Haifa coach Haim Silvas now aims to add a foreign winger and a backup left-back to complete the squad for the upcoming season. The team is preparing for its next match in the Toto Cup ranking phase against reigning champions Hapoel Be'er Sheva, competing for fifth place.
