Police Solve Grenade Attack on Japnika Branch Linked to Crime Feud in Kiryat Ono

Israeli police have solved the grenade attack on a Japnika branch in Kiryat Ono that occurred on July 13. Two masked suspects from Bat Yam, aged 18 and 22, were identified and arrested following an intensive investigation using technological means. The suspects, involved in a violent feud between the Jerushi crime organization and the Mosli brothers, threw a grenade at the store entrance causing property damage but no injuries.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had also set fire to the Magia event hall in Tiberias just one day before the grenade attack. During searches of their homes, police found evidence and clothing linking them to the crimes. Both suspects face serious charges including arson, aggravated burglary, vehicle identity alteration, and using a vehicle to commit a crime.

The conflict centers on the Jerushi crime family, led by Ismail Jerushi, and rivals Yossi and Eli Mosli. Some Japnika branches are allegedly connected to the Jerushi organization, making them targets in this ongoing criminal terror wave. Prosecutors submitted indictments against the two suspects on Sunday, moving toward formal charges.

This case highlights the escalating violence between organized crime groups in Israel and the use of terror tactics such as grenade attacks and arson to intimidate rivals and disrupt businesses.
