Six Die in Tragic Incidents Including Four Children Across Israel and Abroad

Within a single day, six people lost their lives in a series of tragic accidents both in Israel and internationally, including four children and teenagers. These incidents occurred over Sunday and the preceding night, deeply affecting families and communities during the summer vacation period.

In Israel, a deadly car accident took place on a road leading to Maale Adumim in the West Bank, where a vehicle carrying three men overturned. Two men, approximately 45 years old, died at the scene, while a third man, around 40, was critically injured and hospitalized. Earlier, a 17-year-old boy died after falling from a height near Keshet Cave in the Western Galilee. Medical teams confirmed his death at the site.

A 12-year-old boy named Elchanan Karni from Modi'in Illit drowned in the Jordan River after falling from an inflatable boat. In Lod, a 5-year-old boy, Betzalel David Giller, was found unconscious inside a closed car suffering from severe heatstroke; he was rushed to Shamir Medical Center but was pronounced dead.

The tragic toll began overnight during a family vacation in Mexico, where 4-year-old Shalom Arush from Jerusalem, grandson of Rabbi Shalom Arush, drowned in a hotel pool near San Jose del Cabo. The international ZAKA unit coordinated with local authorities to handle the case and arrange for the child's burial in Israel, while the community rallied to support the grieving family.

These multiple tragedies, including drownings, a fall from a cliff, a child left in a vehicle, and a fatal traffic accident, have left a profound impact across various communities in Israel and abroad.
