Hapoel Tel Aviv Parts Ways With Igor Kolshov After Brief Return
Hapoel Tel Aviv officially announced the departure of basketball player Igor Kolshov on August 9, 2026. Kolshov joined the team during the current season but only made two appearances in his second stint with the club. Overall, he played 16 games for Hapoel Tel Aviv, including 14 in his previous tenure during the 2021-22 season when he averaged 4.1 points in 14.4 minutes per game.
Kolshov arrived this season from Icelandic team Keflavik, where he had a strong performance averaging 18.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. His career also includes playing for Hapoel Jerusalem, Rubezh Saratov in the VTB United League, Hapoel Holon, Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Ironi Nahariya, and Hapoel Be'er Sheva/Dimona.
The club's announcement marks the end of Kolshov's short return to Hapoel Tel Aviv, as he leaves after contributing in just two games this season.
