Israeli Player Anan Halaily Agrees to Join Premier League's Crystal Palace

Israeli footballer Anan Halaily has agreed to terms with Crystal Palace and is expected to sign with the Premier League club in the coming days. The London-based team has also finalized the transfer fee with Halaily's current club, Union Saint-Gilloise, which will reportedly receive 25 million euros. Halaily was absent from Union Saint-Gilloise's season opener against Westerlo, officially due to feeling unwell, but it was later revealed he had already completed his medical examinations with Crystal Palace.

This move marks a significant turn in Halaily's career after a failed transfer to Inter Milan. Although he had initially agreed to terms with the Italian champions, he did not pass the medical tests, which prevented him from signing with any other Serie A club. Crystal Palace finished 15th in the Premier League last season, following 12th and 10th place finishes in the two previous seasons. The club won its first major trophy in history during the 2024/25 season by securing the FA Cup with a surprising victory over Manchester City in the final. They also won the Community Shield at the start of last season and captured their first European title by winning the UEFA Conference League at the season's end.
