Israeli Footballer Anan Khalaily Agrees Transfer to Crystal Palace After Inter Deal Falls Through

Israeli footballer Anan Khalaily, 21, is set to complete a transfer to English Premier League club Crystal Palace after agreeing to terms. This move follows the collapse of a previous deal with Inter Milan, which fell apart after Khalaily failed the medical examinations. Khalaily spent two successful seasons at Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise, where he made 99 appearances, won the Belgian league title and cup, and scored in the UEFA Champions League.

A product of Maccabi Haifa's youth system, Khalaily gained international attention during the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, helping Israel reach the semifinals and scoring crucial goals against Uzbekistan and Brazil. He played one senior season at Maccabi Haifa in 2023/24, featuring in 50 matches and scoring 14 goals across all competitions before moving to Europe.

Crystal Palace, Khalaily's new club, has enjoyed significant success recently, winning the UEFA Conference League last season, their first European trophy, and qualifying for the UEFA Europa League this season. The club also won the FA Cup two seasons ago, defeating Manchester City in the final. Khalaily's transfer to Crystal Palace marks a new chapter after the disappointment of the failed Inter Milan move due to medical issues.
