Anan Khalaily Nears Crystal Palace Transfer After Failed Inter Milan Move
Anan Khalaily is close to completing his transfer to Crystal Palace, with the English club finalizing the last formal details with Union Saint-Gilloise. The deal is expected to be worth around 28 million euros plus future sale percentages. According to Belgian journalist Sasha Taboulieri, all parties hope to finalize the transfer within the next 24 hours. Khalaily has already agreed to personal terms and is set to sign a five-year contract with an option for an additional season.
The 21-year-old Israeli midfielder was previously on the verge of joining Inter Milan, who had agreed to a 25 million euro transfer fee with Union Saint-Gilloise. However, the move collapsed after Khalaily failed medical examinations conducted by the Italian Olympic Committee. Following this setback, Khalaily returned to Belgium, continued training with Union Saint-Gilloise, and helped the club win the Belgian Super Cup.
Khalaily joined Union Saint-Gilloise from Maccabi Haifa in the summer of 2024 for approximately 7.5 million euros. In the previous season, he scored six goals and provided six assists in 52 appearances across all competitions, including three goals in the UEFA Champions League, notably a brace against Marseille and a winning goal against Atalanta.
