Firefighters Gain Control After Over 10-Hour Blaze at Future BIG Complex in Petah Tikva

A large fire broke out in the underground parking lot of the future BIG complex in Petah Tikva, covering approximately 2,000 square meters. The fire, which lasted more than ten hours, involved flammable materials such as plastic, wood, and paint stored on site, causing thick smoke that complicated firefighting efforts. Despite the intensity of the blaze, firefighters confirmed there was no risk of the fire spreading to nearby buildings.

The fire occurred at the intersection of Jabotinsky and Moshe Dayan streets within the construction site. Fire and Rescue Services announced that all fire points have been extinguished. A special investigation team will examine the cause of the fire, considering possibilities including arson, mechanical activity, extreme heat, or other factors. Once the fire is fully extinguished and the smoke dissipated, a thorough on-site investigation will be conducted to determine the fire's origin.
