Fire Breaks Out in Underground Parking at Petaḥ Tikva Construction Site, Roads Closed
A fire erupted in the underground parking lot of a construction site for the future BIG shopping complex in Petaḥ Tikva on Saturday. The blaze started in an area where plastic materials and pipes were stored, producing heavy smoke that spread throughout the site. Firefighters from the Petaḥ Tikva station were dispatched to extinguish the fire and clear the smoke, but as of now, they have not yet gained full control over the situation.
Due to the dense smoke, major roads including Jabotinsky and Moshe Dayan streets were closed to traffic. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area to allow emergency teams to operate safely and efficiently. The fire remains active, and efforts to contain it are ongoing.
