Man Suspected of Sexual Abuse of Disabled Children Arrested Upon Return to Israel

A 50-year-old man suspected of multiple sexual offenses against defenseless minors fled Israel around 2015 to avoid prosecution. After nearly a decade abroad, during which he was declared wanted by Israeli police, he was arrested immediately upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport. The suspect, who posed as a physiotherapist, allegedly abused children with cerebral palsy in the Haifa and Krayot areas, exploiting their disabilities and parental trust. The police plan to request an extension of his detention to complete their investigation. The case began when complaints were filed against him for sexually abusing children during treatment sessions, prompting his flight from Israel before formal charges were submitted. Upon his return, authorities detained him at the airport, and he is currently held following interrogation at the Zebulun police station.
