Foreign Caregiver Arrested for Serious Sexual Abuse of Two Minor Siblings in Israel
A foreign caregiver was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of committing serious sexual offenses against two helpless minor siblings under his care. The investigation began several days ago at a police station in central Israel following a complaint filed by the children's mother. The caregiver was employed to assist with the siblings' health-related needs but allegedly exploited the trust placed in him and the fact that he was alone with them at home. Police are continuing to investigate and are examining whether there are additional victims. After collecting testimonies from the children through specialized child investigators, the caregiver was detained for questioning.
Separately, a severe indictment was filed last week against a resident of central Israel accused of multiple serious sexual offenses against his two children between 2019 and 2024, during the time he lived in the family home. The charges include twice raping his 12-year-old daughter and committing indecent acts against her, as well as indecent acts against his 11-year-old son, including incidents following the assault on the daughter. The indictment also details that the accused exhibited violent behavior over the years.
