Israeli Family Members Indicted for Sexual Abuse of 10-Year-Old Relative and Recording Acts

The Israeli State Prosecutor's Office last week filed indictments at the Tel Aviv District Court against three family members from central Israel for sexually abusing a 10-year-old relative over approximately two years. According to the charges presented by Attorney Shiran Bargal from the Cyber Department of the State Prosecutor's Office, the child's grandmother, grandfather, and aunt conspired with other family suspects to sexually abuse the minor. The accused repeatedly committed sexual offenses against the child, including touching his genitals while laughing and recording the acts on mobile phones. Some of these videos were shared within a family WhatsApp group, while others were stored on the family members' devices.

The indictments charge the suspects with indecent acts against a minor relative, abuse of a minor or helpless person, and using a minor's body to produce obscene material by a responsible party. Upon filing the indictments, the prosecution requested the suspects be detained until the conclusion of legal proceedings. The investigation began as part of a broader, ongoing inquiry by the Israeli Police's 105 Investigations Division into multiple suspects nationwide involved in sexual offenses against minors, including within their families. Several indictments have already been submitted by the Cyber Department in this extensive probe.
