Three women were arrested on Friday on suspicion of sexually abusing their minor relative, in connection with a pedophilia case in central Israel. In the same investigation, a total of five family members have been arrested, and police said all of them have no prior criminal record.
A prosecution statement was filed at the Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court ahead of indictments against two of the suspects. Their detention was extended until Thursday. The detention of another suspect was extended until Friday.
The family is suspected of offenses including indecent acts by a guardian, abuse of a helpless person, and creating and distributing obscene material. The case remains under investigation as prosecutors prepare charges.
