Police have arrested four Central Israel residents on suspicion of child abuse, obscene material offenses and abuse of a helpless person, following a cyber investigation by Lahav 433 Unit 105. The arrests were made on Friday, after investigators uncovered a case involving harm to a minor while probing another suspect in the same affair.
A district judge in Lod allowed police to publish the identity details of one suspect, a man in his 30s from central Israel, and the social media profiles he allegedly used on Telegram and Instagram to contact minors. Police also released the profile images and urged anyone else harmed through those accounts to call the 105 hotline for child protection online.
In parallel, the Rishon LeZion Magistrate’s Court received a declaration of intent to file indictments against two female suspects, and their remand was extended until Thursday. The remand of another suspect was extended until Friday, while the investigation continues in Unit 105.
A senior Lahav 433 officer told N12 the material investigators saw was so disturbing that some may need treatment. He said the suspects shared horrific sexual content involving children and infants in a private group, and described the case as one in which they “killed the souls” of the children. He added that there are about 10 suspects in the case and that indictments were filed last week, though the suspects did not trade the material but instructed each other what acts to perform, how to film them, and which secret group to upload them to.
