Israeli Prosecutors Charge Grandparents and Aunt with Sexual Abuse of 10-Year-Old Relative
The Israeli State Prosecutor's Office has filed indictments against three family members from central Israel, a grandfather, grandmother, and aunt, accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy over a period of approximately two years. The charges were submitted last weekend to the Tel Aviv District Court and stem from a broader investigation into an extensive pedophilia network operating on the Telegram app.
According to the indictment, the three relatives, along with other suspected family members, repeatedly committed sexual offenses against the minor. They documented the abuse using their mobile phones, storing videos on their devices and sharing some within a family WhatsApp group. The charges include indecent acts against a minor relative, abuse of a helpless minor, and using the minor's body for producing obscene material by a responsible party.
The prosecution has requested that the accused be held in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings. This case is part of a larger ongoing investigation led by Unit 105 of the Israeli Police, which targets numerous suspects nationwide involved in sexual offenses against minors and the distribution of related content on Telegram. Several indictments have already been filed by the Cyber Department of the State Prosecutor's Office in connection with this network.
