Sex Offender Who Abused Disabled Children Captured at Ben Gurion Airport After Fleeing in 2015
Israeli police arrested a 50-year-old man at Ben Gurion Airport who was convicted in 2006 for sexually abusing children. He had impersonated a physiotherapist and targeted children with cerebral palsy. In 2015, additional suspicions arose against him for sexually abusing more children in the Haifa and Krayot areas during so-called treatments. He fled Israel about a month before a complaint was filed against him that year. Authorities apprehended him upon his return, and police plan to request an extension of his detention.
