Police Investigate Suspected Gang Rape of Teen Girl at Northern Israel Party

Israeli police have launched an investigation into a suspected gang rape of a teenage girl that allegedly took place at a party over the past weekend in a northern city. The complaint was filed on Saturday night, and following an intensive inquiry, two suspects were arrested on Wednesday. Authorities indicated that further arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

The investigation is being handled by the Haifa District Police. According to the allegations, the girl was given a drink containing an unknown substance that caused her to become disoriented. Taking advantage of her vulnerable state, several youths reportedly committed sexual offenses against her. The victim reported the incident to the police, leading to the detention of two suspects, one adult and the other a minor.

Police stated they will request an extension of the suspects' detention in court and emphasized that details are limited due to the closed nature of the proceedings. The police are also examining the involvement of additional individuals in the case, which remains under active investigation.
