Two Teenagers Arrested for Alleged Rape and Assault of Disabled Girl
Two boys, aged 13 and 14, were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of gang-raping and injuring a girl of the same age with special needs over the weekend in the Sharon region. Police have launched an investigation and are examining the possibility that the victim was assaulted on more than one occasion and that additional individuals may have been involved.
The incident came to light after a neighbor heard the girl screaming and called the police. Responding officers arrived at the scene, initiated an investigation, and apprehended the two suspects. Both have been interrogated and are currently in custody as the investigation continues. Authorities are working to determine the exact circumstances of the event, including whether it was an isolated incident or if the girl was assaulted at other times, and if other children were involved.
This case joins a series of other serious sexual offenses against minors investigated in recent years. In November 2024, 15 minors were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Migdal HaEmek, an incident reportedly occurring over multiple occasions and locations. That investigation is separate from the current one.
