Three-Year-Old Boy Dies in Hit-and-Run in Ar'ara, Relative Arrested

A tragic incident occurred on August 5, 2026, in the town of Ar'ara, where a three-year-old boy was fatally struck by a vehicle. Initially, emergency services and police received a false report claiming the child had fallen from a height. However, upon arrival, police officers discovered signs of a hit-and-run and a disturbed scene inconsistent with the original account.

The child was rushed to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera in critical condition but was later pronounced dead by hospital doctors. Police suspect the scene was tampered with to conceal the true cause of injury. Following an on-site assessment led by Ir'on police station commander Superintendent Tzachi Ben Haim, a relative of the boy was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the fatal hit-and-run.

Forensic investigators and traffic examiners from the Manasseh district are currently collecting evidence to clarify the circumstances of the incident. The police have stated that the investigation is in its early stages and are continuing to probe the case.
