Seven-Year-Old Boy Dies After Hit-and-Run Incident in Rahat

A seven-year-old boy succumbed to his critical injuries on Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle near the city of Rahat in the Negev region. Medical teams arrived at the scene and found the child without vital signs, pronouncing him dead. Paramedics reported that a private vehicle brought the boy to them near the entrance junction to Rahat, stating he was unconscious and had been involved in a road accident. Upon examination, the child was found to have multiple injuries and no signs of life.

The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the "horrific hit-and-run incident." According to a police statement, officers from the Rahat station and traffic accident investigators in the Negev district arrived at the scene to determine the causes and details of the event.
