Four-Year-Old Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run in Beit Shemesh
A four-year-old boy was critically injured on Monday in Beit Shemesh after being struck by a passing vehicle on Rav Hanina Street. Emergency medical teams arrived promptly and performed life-saving resuscitation efforts on the child, who sustained multiple severe injuries. The incident follows a recent fatal hit-and-run in the area, where a three-year-old child was killed in Ar'ara just two weeks prior.
Police from the Iron Station, led by Commander Tzachi Ben Haim, responded to the scene, conducted an initial assessment, and subsequently arrested a suspect. Forensic investigators and traffic examiners from the Manasseh district also arrived to collect evidence and investigate the circumstances of the crash. The investigation remains in its early stages.
