Seven-Year-Old Boy Dies in Negev Road Accident
A seven-year-old boy was killed in a road accident in the Negev region on Friday evening. Emergency medical services were called to Route 264 near Rahat, where they encountered a private vehicle that had brought the child. The boy was unconscious and suffering from severe, multi-system injuries after being struck by a car. Paramedics attempted resuscitation but were forced to declare him dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 6:02 PM. Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
This fatality follows a particularly deadly day on Israeli roads, with five people killed in four separate fatal accidents on Thursday. These included a motorcyclist in Kiryat Bialik, a taxi driver in his 70s on Highway 20 (Ayalon Highway), two residents of the Bedouin town of Tarabin in the Negev who collided with each other, and a cyclist in Tel Aviv who was struck and killed by an undocumented migrant driving a stolen vehicle.
