Young Man Dies in Car Accident on Lower Galilee Road 77

A 25-year-old man was killed overnight between Monday and Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle on Road 77 near the Mivtal interchange in the Lower Galilee. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics found the pedestrian unconscious with severe multiple injuries and declared him dead at the scene. The accident was reported to MDA at 00:36, about half an hour after midnight. Details about the circumstances of the collision remain unclear.

MDA paramedic Yuval Lontal and senior medic Tehani Zubaidat described the victim as lying unconscious by the roadside without pulse or breathing and suffering severe trauma. Despite medical efforts, his injuries were fatal.

The fatal accident follows other deadly traffic incidents in Israel the previous day. In the evening, a 46-year-old bus driver from Jerusalem died in the moshav Hefzibah when the bus collapsed on him, reportedly while changing a tire. Police have launched an investigation.

Earlier on the same day, 13-year-old Abed Said Watad from Jatt died after being hit by a vehicle while riding an electric bicycle in Baka al-Gharbiyye. MDA teams performed resuscitation and transported him to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, where he was pronounced dead. Police are also investigating this accident.

Additionally, a 29-year-old man was seriously injured in the morning after his vehicle overturned and fell about ten meters off a cliff at Netaf quarries in Binyamin. Another accident involved a 20-year-old motorcyclist who was seriously hurt while riding on Road 22 near Kfar Bialik.
