Two Killed in Separate Deadly Road Accidents Near Glilot Interchange and Negev

Two fatal road accidents occurred overnight in Israel, resulting in the deaths of a 19-year-old man near the Glilot Interchange and a pedestrian in his 40s in the Negev region. The first accident happened around 2:32 a.m. on Highway 20 near the Glilot East Interchange, involving multiple vehicles. Emergency teams found the 19-year-old with severe injuries and no signs of life, confirming his death at the scene. Three other men aged 20, 26, and 28 were injured; the 20-year-old was in critical condition, sedated and ventilated, while the others sustained moderate limb injuries and were taken to Ichilov Hospital.

The second accident took place earlier, around 12:17 a.m., on Highway 25 near the President Junction in the Negev. A pedestrian in his 40s was struck by a vehicle and suffered severe multi-system trauma. Medical responders attempted treatment but declared him dead at the scene. Additionally, a woman was lightly injured in this incident and was transported to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba after receiving initial care.

Paramedics described the scenes as severe, with multiple casualties requiring urgent medical attention. Both incidents highlight ongoing road safety concerns in Israel, with emergency services responding promptly to the crashes. Hospitals involved in treating the injured include Ichilov in Tel Aviv and Soroka in Beersheba. Investigations into the causes of the accidents are ongoing.
