Fatal Road Accidents Claim Multiple Lives Across Israel
A woman in her 50s was killed in a multi-vehicle collision involving four cars on Highway 2 near Atlit on Sunday morning. The crash also left a man in his 60s in serious condition and five others with minor injuries. Magen David Adom paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene after she was found trapped in her crushed vehicle, unresponsive with no pulse or breathing.
Paramedics provided life-saving treatment to the man in his 60s, who was trapped in an overturned vehicle. He was evacuated to the hospital in serious condition. The five lightly injured individuals were also treated and transported to medical facilities.
This incident follows a series of fatal accidents in Israel. On Saturday night, a 20-year-old man was critically injured when his car collided with a pole, sustaining severe head trauma. Earlier, two people were killed and another man seriously injured in a head-on collision on Highway 854 near Karmiel. The police have opened an investigation into that crash, which led to the road being closed in both directions.
Additionally, a 93-year-old person died in a three-car accident on Highway 4, and hours later, a woman in her 40s was killed by an ATV in the Eshkol Regional Council.
