Three-Year-Old Boy Fatally Run Over in Ar'ara, Relative Arrested After False Fall Report

A tragic incident occurred on August 5, 2026, in the town of Ar'ara, where a three-year-old boy was fatally run over. Initially, emergency services and police received a false report claiming the child had fallen from a height. However, upon arrival, police discovered evidence inconsistent with the original account, indicating the boy had been struck by a vehicle.

The child was rushed to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera in critical condition, where doctors later declared his death. Police noted the crime scene appeared tampered with, suggesting an attempt to conceal the true nature of the incident. Following an on-site assessment led by Ir'on police station commander Superintendent Tzachi Ben Haim, a relative of the boy was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the fatal run-over.
