Spanish media are closely monitoring the development, especially given Real Madrid's interest in Walker. Spanish journalist Sergio Vegas noted that Real Madrid fans are eager for Wallace to sign with Maccabi Tel Aviv, as it could facilitate Walker's departure from the Israeli club. Maccabi regularly scouts players potentially leaving the NBA, and Wallace fits this profile.

Wallace, standing 1.90 meters tall, plays both point guard and shooting guard positions and is left-hand dominant. He began his career at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and went undrafted in 2021, starting professionally in the NBA G League. His performance there earned him a spot in the NBA, where he played two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. In the 2024/25 season, he averaged 5.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 16.2 minutes over 31 games. The following season, he contributed 3.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 10.1 minutes across 53 games, shooting 37.3% from three-point range.
