Maccabi Tel Aviv Targets Keaton Wallace to Complete Roster for Upcoming Season

Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly close to finalizing its roster for the upcoming season, showing strong interest in American guard Keaton Wallace. Following the recent signing of Daniel Teiss, the Israeli EuroLeague club is among the leading candidates to acquire Wallace, who is expected to leave the NBA and move to Europe for the first time in his career. The 27-year-old guard, who could replace Loney Walker if he departs, has spent the last two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks after advancing from the NBA G League.

In the 2025/26 NBA season, Wallace averaged 3.5 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 10 minutes per game, shooting 37.3% from three-point range. He is the older brother of former NBA champion and defensive standout, Kayson Wallace. Wallace's rookie NBA season was more impressive, with averages of 5.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 16 minutes per game, including a career-high 27 points against the Chicago Bulls and a triple-double performance against the Orlando Magic.

Undrafted in 2021 after finishing college at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Wallace earned his NBA spot through his skills and determination. Now, with interest from at least one EuroLeague club, Maccabi Tel Aviv could be the next step in his professional journey as they aim to complete their squad for the new season.
