Israeli Singer Odeya Azulay Wins Legal Battle Over False Affair Allegations

Israeli singer Odeya Azulay announced on Tuesday that she won a legal case against a woman who falsely claimed that Azulay's husband had an affair with her. Azulay shared on Instagram that the truth has come to light following the court proceedings. The accuser, Shulamit Asraf Danino, admitted that the allegations were untrue and that Azulay had never met her or her husband.

Azulay emphasized her determination to clear her name, stating she was confident that any reasonable person would see the claims were baseless. She also addressed online commenters, saying she forgives some but is less forgiving toward those who sought to exploit the false story for personal gain. Azulay expressed gratitude to those who supported her during the difficult period and reflected on the heavy toll such public accusations take, especially on children who face similar harassment alone.

The singer shared Danino's apology letter, in which the woman confessed to fabricating the story. Azulay also vowed to continue fighting against independent journalist Daniel Amram, who amplified the false claims without evidence to promote his platform. About two years ago, Amram had announced plans to reveal details about a religious singer allegedly involved in an affair with a married security official, leading followers to suspect Azulay. She denied the accusations and filed restraining orders and police complaints against Danino, ultimately initiating the successful legal action that concluded in her favor today.
