Singer Odaya Wins Defamation Case Against Shulamit Asraf Danino, Legal Battle Continues Against Daniel Amram

About a year after filing a defamation lawsuit over rumors alleging she had an affair with a married man, Israeli singer Odaya announced the conclusion of her legal case against Shulamit Asraf Danino. Danino admitted that the accusations against Odaya were false and issued a formal public apology retracting her statements. In her Instagram post, Odaya shared the apology letter in which Danino acknowledged that all claims about Odaya’s relationship with a married man were untrue, stating she never met Odaya or her husband and had no evidence supporting her allegations.

Danino’s apology included a commitment to refrain from spreading harmful rumors or defamatory content about Odaya in any media or social networks in the future. Odaya emphasized the emotional toll the false accusations took on her, especially given her public profile, and warned others about the damaging consequences of spreading false information online.

Despite the victory against Danino, Odaya clarified that her legal fight is not over. She continues to pursue a defamation case against Daniel Amram, who she accuses of publishing baseless and defamatory claims against her. Both lawsuits initially demanded one million shekels in damages. Odaya expressed determination to clear her name fully and hold accountable those who defame her without evidence.
