Gett Launches New Pre-Booked Group Transport Service to Ben Gurion Airport

Gett, one of Israel's leading transportation apps, is expanding its services to include pre-booked vans, minivans, minibuses, and buses nationwide, alongside its traditional taxi offerings. The new service allows customers to reserve larger vehicles at least 12 hours in advance, with the fare displayed upfront based on distance, travel time, and number of pickup and drop-off points. For example, a van for up to 13 passengers from Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport costs 526 shekels, a minibus for up to 19 passengers from Jerusalem to the airport is 764 shekels, and a bus for up to 55 passengers from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is 1,675 shekels. Splitting the cost among passengers can make this option more economical than booking multiple taxis, especially for large families, groups of friends, or employees traveling together.

This service is particularly suited for families, groups, event transportation, or travelers with bulky luggage who previously had to coordinate with various shuttle companies. The initiative is operated through a partnership with Rideeazy, a platform by Electra Afikim that connects dozens of shuttle companies across Israel. While bookings and payments are handled via the Gett app, the actual rides are provided by these shuttle suppliers.

The launch comes ahead of the holiday season, offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative for group travel to Ben Gurion Airport and between major cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. This development reflects the growing digitalization of transportation services in Israel, aiming to enhance the customer experience by consolidating multiple transport options into one platform.
