Gett Expands Beyond Taxis to Offer Vans, Minibuses, and Buses by Advance Booking

Gett, traditionally known for its taxi booking service, announced a new strategy to gradually broaden its transportation offerings. Starting immediately, users can book vans, minibuses, and even full-size buses through the app, with reservations required at least 12 hours in advance. Prices will be displayed upfront before confirmation and are set based on trip specifics. Initial launch promotions include a 100-shekel coupon. For example, a 13-seat vehicle for a popular route like Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport costs 526 shekels, a 19-seat vehicle 765 shekels, and a bus with up to 55 seats 1,675 shekels. These are sample prices and will vary by destination and conditions, but Gett claims they will be about 10% cheaper than current market rates.

This new service is operated in partnership with Rideeazy, a subsidiary of Electra Afikim, which aggregates dozens of shuttle providers across Israel, facilitating Gett's expansion. Mark On, Gett's CEO, described the move as a new chapter aimed at adapting to evolving user needs. He added that the company plans to continue expanding the platform with additional transportation solutions and services in the coming months.

This strategic shift marks Gett's transition from a taxi-only service to a broader mobility platform, reflecting changing demands in Israel's transportation sector.
