Gett Expands Into Group Transport with Vans and Buses Across Israel

Gett, the dominant player in Israel's local taxi market, has expanded its services to include organized group transportation such as vans, minibuses, and buses with up to 55 seats. This new offering, launched on August 4, 2026, allows customers to book group rides directly through the Gett app nationwide, except for airport transfers which will become available in the coming weeks. The service is operated in partnership with Electra Afikim's Rideeazy platform, which aggregates dozens of transportation providers across Israel.

Pricing is transparent and fixed at the time of booking, which must be made at least 12 hours in advance. For example, a 13-seat vehicle from Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport costs 526 shekels, a 19-seat vehicle from Jerusalem to the airport costs 764 shekels, and a bus with up to 55 seats from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem costs 1,675 shekels. Prices vary based on route, time, and stops, and do not change after confirmation unless trip details are modified.

Gett positions itself as a platform connecting supply and demand, with full responsibility for service quality, cancellations, or accidents resting on the transportation providers. Customer support is handled through Gett's usual service channels. This expansion leverages Gett's strong user base and exclusive contract to operate taxi services at Ben Gurion Airport, aiming to capture the group transport market.

Alongside this launch, Gett introduced a new app interface consolidating various transportation options on one screen and upgraded its core technology with a $40 million development investment. CEO Mark On stated the expansion marks a new chapter for Gett, emphasizing continued growth in service variety and maintaining a simple, reliable user experience. The company plans to further enhance the platform with additional transportation solutions in the coming months.
