Gett Expands Into Group Transport with Vans and Buses Across Israel

Gett, the dominant player in Israel's local taxi market, has expanded its services to include organized group transportation such as vans, minibuses, and buses with up to 55 seats. This new offering, launched on August 4, 2026, allows customers to book rides for groups directly through the Gett app, with prices provided upfront before confirmation. The service is available nationwide, except for routes to Ben Gurion Airport, which will be added in the coming weeks.

The pricing model is transparent and varies based on route, vehicle size, time, and number of stops. For example, a 13-seat vehicle from Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport costs 526 shekels, a 19-seat vehicle from Jerusalem to the airport costs 764 shekels, and a bus with up to 55 seats from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem costs 1,675 shekels. Bookings must be made at least 12 hours in advance, and prices remain fixed unless trip details change during the ride.

Gett operates this service in partnership with Rideeazy, a platform under Electra Afikim that aggregates dozens of transportation providers across Israel. While Gett handles booking and payment through its app, the actual transportation is provided by third-party suppliers who bear full responsibility for service issues, cancellations, or accidents. Customer support remains available through Gett's usual channels.

This move leverages Gett's strong market position, including its exclusive contract to operate taxi services from Ben Gurion Airport, to enter the group transport sector. Alongside this expansion, Gett has revamped its app interface to consolidate all transportation options on a single screen and invested over $40 million in upgrading its core technology. CEO Mark On described the expansion as a new chapter aimed at meeting evolving customer needs and promised further enhancements and new transport solutions in the coming months.
