Gett Expands Ride-Hailing Service to 50 Countries Globally
Gett, the ride-hailing company, has significantly expanded its international service, now operating in 50 countries worldwide. This expansion follows a successful pilot program where thousands of Israelis utilized Gett's services in over 25 nations. The service allows users to book rides abroad directly through the familiar Gett app, eliminating the need for local applications or additional registrations. Prices are displayed upfront in Israeli shekels, and payments are processed using the saved payment method in the user's account.
New destinations include popular tourist spots like Thailand, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Morocco, and New Zealand. Other newly added countries offering the service are Croatia, Malta, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Estonia, Ukraine, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, and Moldova.
The international connectivity is facilitated through a partnership with HQ, a platform that aggregates hundreds of local transportation providers globally. This strategic move is part of Gett's broader initiative to enhance its transportation solutions both within Israel and internationally.
Recently, Gett also broadened its fleet options in Israel, enabling users to book not only standard taxis but also larger vehicles such as vans and buses.
