Israeli Teen from Beitar Illit Charged with Racist Attacks on Palestinians and Animal Abuse

The Israeli State Prosecutor's Office filed charges on Tuesday against a 16-year-old boy from Beitar Illit for racially motivated threats and assaults against Palestinians, as well as animal abuse. The indictment was submitted to the Juvenile District Court in Beersheba, alongside a request to detain the minor until the conclusion of legal proceedings. According to the indictment, prepared by attorney Masad Masad of the Southern District Prosecutor's Office, the teenager repeatedly entered the homes of Palestinian complainants in the South Hebron Hills area wielding a metal rod. He allegedly intimidated the residents, telling them the property did not belong to them and ordering them to leave. Prosecutors assert these acts were racially motivated due to the victims' Arab identity.

The indictment also details an incident from about two months ago when the teen arrived on a donkey and entered the residential area, pushing a female complainant despite knowing she was holding a minor child, risking harm to the child. Additional threats were directed at others present. After leaving the premises, the boy reportedly attempted to harm a dog tied in the yard using a pipe and struck the animal. The charges include racially motivated assault and threats, attempted harm to an animal with nationalist motives, and animal cruelty. The events are under investigation by the Yehuda and Hebron Police Station. The legal process against the minor is ongoing.
