Israeli Teen Indicted for Racist Threats, Assault, and Animal Abuse in South Hebron

The Israeli State Prosecutor's Office filed charges on Tuesday against a 16-year-old boy from Beitar Illit for racially motivated threats, assault, and animal abuse. The indictment, submitted to the Beersheba Juvenile District Court, accuses the minor of entering the homes of Arab residents in South Hebron multiple times while wielding a metal rod, threatening them to leave their land, and stating "this is not your land." The acts were allegedly driven by racial hatred.

About two months ago, the teenager reportedly arrived on a donkey, entered the residential area, pushed a female complainant, and threatened others present, despite knowing that a minor was holding onto the woman. Additionally, he attempted to violently strike a dog tied in the yard with a pipe, hitting the animal's head and upper body, causing it to fall and yelp in pain.

The charges include racially motivated assault and threats, attempted harm to an animal with nationalist intent, and animal cruelty. The case was investigated by the Judea and Samaria Police Station, and a request for detention until the end of proceedings was also submitted by the Southern District Prosecutor's Office attorney Masad Masad.
