Israeli Teen Charged for Racist Threats and Animal Abuse in South Hebron

The Central District Prosecutor's Office has filed serious charges against a 16-year-old minor from Beitar Illit. The teenager allegedly threatened Arab residents in the South Hebron Hills, assaulted a woman, and attempted to strike a dog with a pipe, all motivated by racist and nationalist reasons. The incident occurred about two months ago when the accused arrived on a donkey and entered a residential compound. He pushed a woman inside, aware that his actions could harm a minor holding her, and threatened others present. The woman later filed a police complaint against him.

After leaving the residence, the teen noticed a dog tied in the yard belonging to the complainants. He tried to hit the dog forcefully on its head and upper body with a pipe. The dog was struck on the head, fell to the ground, and began to howl. The indictment accuses the minor of simple assault with a racist motive, racist threats, attempted harm to an animal with a nationalist motive, and animal abuse. The case was investigated by the Yehuda and Hebron police station.
