The story · English

Abior Shashon, a minor suspected of fatally stabbing 19-year-old Benyahu Razi, was brought to a Jerusalem court where the victim's mother confronted him before the hearing. The incident occurred shortly before the session, during which police planned to submit a prosecutor's statement against Shashon and other suspects, including his mother and a relative. This statement is expected to precede formal indictments and requests for detention until the end of legal proceedings.

Benyahu Razi was killed between July 11 and 12 in a rented apartment on Shirazli Street in the Nahalat neighborhood of Jerusalem. According to police, several youths armed with weapons attacked Razi and a friend, who was lightly injured, before fleeing. Razi was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died. Six suspects, some minors, were arrested hours after the murder, with their detention extended multiple times for ongoing investigation.

On July 20, the court extended the detention of three minors suspected of being present and involved in the attack by eight days. On the same day, Shilat Huta denied knowledge of any planned harm to Razi but had her detention extended by four days. Two days later, Agam Tzarfati's detention was extended by seven days amid strengthened evidence linking her to planning and observing the attack. The detention of Mazal Linor Shashon was also extended by a week, as police allege she acted as a mediator among the suspects.

Following the prosecutor's statement, the prosecution is expected to file indictments detailing the charges against each suspect and request continued detention until the trial concludes.
