Social Activist Tehila Eiseman Dies Days After Collapsing During Pilates in Hadera

Tehila Eiseman, a well-known social activist and educator in Hadera, passed away at age 68 on Monday morning, days after collapsing during a Pilates workout in a local gym. Although emergency responders successfully revived her heartbeat after she was found without pulse or breath last Thursday, her condition remained critical until her death was confirmed. Eiseman will be buried tomorrow at the Hadera cemetery.

Her daughter Michal described her mother as a devoted teacher and a pillar of many community circles, emphasizing that Eiseman was "not someone you expect to have something happen to." She highlighted her mother’s dedication to education, noting that Eiseman was the only teacher to work until her retirement and was deeply committed to her students. Beyond her professional life, Eiseman was an active public advocate and a passionate family woman, especially devoted to raising her grandchildren alongside Michal and her husband, a deputy colonel in the IDF.

Michal recounted the painful moment of explaining to her children that their beloved grandmother would not return, calling it "very cruel." The incident occurred at a gym on Mordechai Karlitz Street in Hadera, where emergency teams from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom responded promptly. Despite initial successful resuscitation efforts, Eiseman’s health deteriorated, leading to her passing just days before her 69th birthday.
