Hadera Social Activist Tehila Eisman Dies After Collapsing During Pilates Session

Tehila Eisman, a well-known educator and social activist from Hadera, passed away after collapsing during a Pilates workout and spending several days hospitalized. The incident occurred last Thursday on Mordechai Karlitz Street in Hadera, just days before her 69th birthday. Emergency teams found her unconscious and without pulse or breathing, and after resuscitation efforts, she was taken to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in critical condition.

Initially suspected to be a cardiac event, further examination revealed a ruptured blood vessel in a critical area of her brain, causing irreversible damage. Despite consultations with specialists from other hospitals, doctors were unable to save her. Eisman's daughter, Michal Giladi, described her mother as the family's cornerstone and a tireless advocate for justice and community welfare. She emphasized Eisman's role as a second parent to her children and her deep impact on many social circles.

Eisman was remembered as a "superwoman" who continuously worked for others and inspired those around her. Her funeral is scheduled for tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the new cemetery in Hadera.
