Social Activist Tehila Eiseman Dies Days After Collapsing During Pilates in Hadera

Tehila Eiseman, a well-known social activist and educator in Hadera, passed away at the age of 68 on Monday, days after collapsing during a Pilates workout in a local gym. Although emergency responders managed to revive her heartbeat after she was found without pulse or breath, her condition remained critical until her death was confirmed. Eiseman is set to be buried tomorrow at the Hadera cemetery.

Her daughter Michal described her mother as a devoted teacher and a pillar of many communities, emphasizing her vitality and dedication to living life fully. Eiseman worked as a committed educator in Hadera for many years, remaining active in teaching until her retirement. Beyond her professional life, she was deeply involved in social justice causes and was a central figure in her family, especially in raising her grandchildren alongside Michal and her husband, who serves as a deputy colonel in the IDF.

The incident occurred last Thursday at a gym on Mordechai Karlitz Street in Hadera, where emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom responded promptly. Despite their efforts to resuscitate her and transport her to the hospital, Eiseman ultimately succumbed to her condition. Michal recounted the painful moment of informing her children about their grandmother’s passing, describing it as extremely harsh.

Eiseman’s death has left a significant void in her community and family, remembered as a dedicated teacher, activist, and loving grandmother who lived with passion and commitment.
