Suspect Flees After Ramming Two Police Cars, Arrested Following Gunfire in Kiryat Yearim

Early Friday morning, police identified a vehicle suspected to be stolen in the Kiryat Yearim area. The suspect fled at high speed, endangering officers and ramming two police cars, which forced the vehicles to stop. The suspect then attempted to escape on foot, prompting a foot chase during which officers fired shots to apprehend him. After extensive searching, the suspect was arrested while lightly injured. Concurrently, a civilian was reported lightly wounded, likely from bullet fragments during the shooting. Additionally, a female police officer involved in the pursuit was lightly injured after the suspect collided with a police vehicle. Following medical treatment, the suspect will be transferred to the Harel police station for questioning.
