Armed Suspects Flee After Ramming Police Car, Injuring Officers

A dramatic chase unfolded on Route 60 in the Benjamin region on Monday after police identified two armed suspects near Adam Square. The pursuit began when officers on a routine patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle with two armed individuals beside it. Upon spotting the security forces, the suspects quickly entered their vehicle and fled at high speed.

Israeli security forces initiated a pursuit along Route 60, with the suspects driving recklessly and endangering other road users. During the chase, the suspects' vehicle collided with a police car, resulting in minor injuries to a police officer and a soldier. Both injured personnel were evacuated for medical treatment.

The forces attempted to stop the fleeing vehicle by firing at its tires, but the suspects managed to escape into the Palestinian village of al-Ram. Security forces, including units from the Benjamin Brigade, have since imposed a closure on the village and are conducting searches in Area B to locate the suspects.

Commander of the Judea and Samaria District, Superintendent Moshe Finchi, praised the forces' vigilance and cooperation with the IDF, stating that their actions prevented a larger incident. The investigation into the incident has been assigned to the Samaria Crime Fighting Unit, with all leads being examined.
